The Melplash Agricultural Society is once again searching for the best gardens and allotment in the area. Our annual Garden and Allotment competition will be judged on 17th and 18th June 2025. As well as prizes for the best small, medium and large gardens and the best allotment, there will be a special award for Best Environmental and Wildlife Practice and The Les Loveridge Trophy will be awarded for the most unusual garden theme or feature. Every type and size of garden or allotment can be entered, the only stipulation is that the garden is designed and looked after by the entrant. If part-time help is employed it should be for no more than 8 hours per week.
The competition is open to all residents within a 12-mile radius of Melplash Village Church and the prizes are very kindly sponsored by Bridport- based William James & Co and Chedington Compost.
