Lady Christine Skelmersdale, proprietor of Broadleigh bulbs is our speaker and she will be bringing plenty of bulbs to sell. She will talk about a bulb for every month – a detailed look at 10 genera with emphasis on some of the more unusual varieties – very intriguing. There will be something to tempt us all!
Our talk as usual is at the Dorford Centre, Bridport Road, Dorchester DT1 1RR, starting on Thursday evening, 10th October at 7.00 for 7.30. Free parking after 6.00 pm is conveniently across the road in the Top o’Town car park, with a zebra crossing directly back to the Hall where disability access is good. Entrance is free for members, £3 for visitors and £1.50 for students.
Please note that, as in September, the speaker would like her talk to run without a refreshment break, so refreshments will be before the talk which starts at 7.30 pm. As usual, Plant Heritage members are encouraged to bring plants to sell. Garden sundries will also be available to buy.
Tickets for our special December talk will also be on sale on Thursday at £10 which includes tea or coffee. On Saturday 7th December at 1.30 for 2.00 pm, Andy McIndoe, former Director of Hilliers and Author at Morden Village Hall.
